This cutout design is the Hebrew letter Aleph placed inside the shape of a flame. The Aleph is a consider a powerful letter. It's sounds is silent and it's shape represents balance and stability. At the moment of creation we have an image of thunder and lightening and loud noise. However, I heard a story where this moment was actually silent, seeing that silence can be far more powerful than noise. "The Spark of Creation" is a manifestation of this interpretation.
